Maria Sibylla Merian was a fine painter and superb naturalist, one of the first woman scientists we know of. Her observations of insects and their relationships with plants revolutionized botany and zoology. This is a lovely rendition for all skill levels and pretty with a soft fine wool or silk threads. Measures 11″ x 14.5″ – as the smaller of various sizes – on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are partial to silk threads, but will be happy to select and add all the colors of merino wool threads or silk threads needed to complete.
