Maria Sibylla Merian was a fine painter and superb naturalist, one of the first woman scientists we know of. Her observations of insects and their relationships with plants revolutionized botany and zoology. This beautiful canvas measures 11″ x 14″ – the smaller of several sizes – on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.
