In Greek mythology maenads were the female followers of Dionysus.  There name literally translates as raving ones- associated with excitement and dancing.  This image is from 490-480 BC  and shows her carrying a thrusts and a leopard, with a snake rolled up over her head. A unique kit indeed! Stitch the entire 10″ x 10″ canvas or just the circle area.  Kit includes silk threads in all the colors and a 10″ x 10″ canvas on your choice of 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.  Available as one of a series of mythology and in alternate larger sizes.
