Description
A friend of Franz Marc, German artist August Macke’s style was influenced by Impressionism but of an entirely different aesthetic. His style, often referred to as Expressionism, represents feelings and moods rather than reproducing objective reality, usually distorting colour and form. A Woman Embroidering, a portrait of his wife, makes a powerful and endearing canvas. Measures 14″ x 17.5″ on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are partial to silk threads for this piece, but will be happy to pull appropriate silk or wool threads to help complete. Available in alternate sizes. Please contact us if you would like us to add the fibers of your choice.
