Marianne Stokes, born in Austria and studied art in Germany and France, later married British landscape painter Adrian Stokes and is considered one of the finest romantic painters of England. Slovakian Woman captures a great deal of emotion and the details invite decorative stitches – or if you prefer, stitch the entire canvas in continental or basketweave. We will be happy to suggest some decorative stitches. Measures 9.5″ x 18″ on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.
