Thisis a detail of a larger tapestry – the New Jerusalem from the Apocalypse Tapestry of Angers. The full fie panel tapestry were woven between 1377 and 1380 by a Parisian weaver named Nicolas Bataille, from designs made by the King’s (King of France, John II) painter, Hennequin de Bruges, who drew his inspiration from miniatures ornamenting manuscripts. So pretty and great for all threads and all skill levels. Measures 12″ x 15.3″ on 14, 16 or 18 m mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.
