Gerard Van Spaendonck – one of two brothers – both accomplished artists from the Netherlands in the late 1700’s – mid 1800’s. It is actually titled a still life with all the various elements to be found in the painting, but we liken this talent and composition to Grandeur. Measures 12″ x 15″ on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. A serious subject to stitch, but also colorful and bright unlike many from this period. We suggest a fine thread, such as cotton or silk to capture the design, and will be happy to select and add all the colors needed to complete. Looks wonderful in the basic continental stitch. Please indicate your mesh preference in the note section at checkout. Please contact us if you would like us to add your choice of threads. Available in alternate sizes.
