Description
Barry Herem has drawn inspriation from the traditional arts of the
Northwest Coast for more than 20 years. The traditional button blanket
of the Northwest Coast was a 19th century native combination of family
crest images with blue and red wool and mother of pearl buttons. This eagle is a traditional style of design surrounded by “sewn-on” buttons which suggest feathering. The floral design at top center decorates the neck area when the blanket is worn over and around the shoulders.. Kit includes an 8″ x 11″ 14 mesh
mono deluxe needlepoint canvas and all the wool threads needed to
complete.
