Dutch painter Kees van Dongen (1877–1968) painted acrobats, dancers and young models was a prolific painter throughout his life.This painting, defined the archetypal figure of the modern woman in his day and is a beautiful example of his style and use of color and light. It’s a beautiful piece for someone who loves modern portraiture without being overly complicated.
