Description
Albrecht Durer was one of the most
gifted and versatile artists, considered the greatest German artist of the
Renaissance. Like his contemporary, Leonardo da Vinci, Durer found wonder in
everyday subject matter. His epitaph reads: “what beauty is, I know not, though
it adheres to many things.” The Large Turf is a departure from his portraits and religious works, but a beautiful study nonetheless. Measures 12″ x 16″ on either 14 or 18 mesh mono deluxe
needlepoint canvas. Please indicate your mesh preference in the Notes section at Checkout. If you do not provide a preference, we will send the more popular 18 mesh. We are happy to select and add appropriate wool, silk or perle cotton threads to help complete. Very rewarding canvas. Please contact us if you would like us to add the fibers of your choice.
