Description
Barry Herem has drawn inspiration from
the traditional arts of the Northwest Coast for more than 20 years in
his stylization of animal and mythic forms. His work, both public and
private, has been created not only in prints but also bronze, wooden
sculptures, jewelry fabric and metals. Sun Dancer is a five colored canvas of a Kwakiutl-style sun mask on a dancer wearing a traditional button blanket. One of four on Kwakiutl dance figures. Measures 10″ x 16″ on 14 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are happy to select appropriate wool, perle cotton or silk threads to help complete. Also available in a larger size.
