Still Life with Pottery Jars by Francisco Zurbarán, a Spanish painter from the early to mid 1600’s. Hhis work features a similarly realistic use of chiaroscuro and tenebrism. The painter thought by some art historians to have had the greatest influence on his characteristically severe compositions was Juan Sánchez We love the demanding presence of these vessels and suggest a fine thread such as silk to render them.
