Description

Georges Seurat first used Pointillism (a technique that uses many small dots of color) and is most famous for A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Le Grande Jatte.  A Sunday Afternoon has become synonymous with his name, as the most recognized of his many paintings in his short lived career. The Pink Cloud (1896) by Henri-Edmond Cross is the same pointillism technique used to great effect and perfect for stitching.  Clouds measures 10″ x 11″ –  the smaller of several sizes – on 14, 16  or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. Have stash of thread needing a home?  Not all the colors or need all? No worries; we are happy to select  and add appropriate silk/merino wool blend or silk  threads to help complete.   Please indicate your mesh preference in the notes section at checkout just before submit order. Please contact us if you would like us to add the fibers of your choice. Available in alternate sizes.
