Alson Clark was an American painter best known for his Impressionist landscapes. Some of his smaller paintings, such as Sea and Sky, California are wonderful and dramatic, which consists of bright orange, pinks, blues and greens that streak to create a vibrant sunset. Using bold, thick diagonal strokes to define the sky against two horizontal strips of ocean this small scene seems to defy its size and convey the whole breadth of a spectacular sunset. Measures 12″ x 15″ on 12 or 14 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. Available in alternate sizes. We are happy to select and add appropriate colors of wool or silk threads needed to complete.
