Quest for the Holy Grail Tapestries: The Arming and Departure of the Knights (1895–1896) by William Morris, Sir Edward Burne-Jones, and John Henry Dearle is one of a set of six tapestries depicting scenes from the legend of King Arthur and the quest for the Holy Grail. The tapestries were commissioned from William Morris & Co. by William Knox D’Arcy in 1890 for his dining room. Measures 18″ x 27″ – the smaller of several sizes – on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.
