Description
Manet was born in 1832 and died in 1883. He was one of the first 19th Century artists to paint modern life and thus a pivotal figure in the transition from Realism to Impressionism. His early masterworks “The Luncheon on the Grass” and “Olympia”, both painted in 1863, caused great controversy and they are considered watershed paintings that mark the genesis of modern art. This lovely portrait is beautiful and not overly complicated, parituclary when compared to other painters in the Impressionist style. We love silk threads with this and will be happy to select and add all needed colors of threads to help complete the 11″ x 16.5″ mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. Available on 14, 16 or 18 mesh. Please indicate your mesh preference in the note section at checkout. Please contact us if you would like us to add wool or silk to the canvas. Available in alternate sizes.
