Description
Itō Jakuchū was a Japanese painter of the mid-Edo period when Japan had isolated itself from the outside world. Many of his paintings concern traditionally Japanese subjects, particularly chickens and other birds. His work is timeless, detailed and gorgeous. This is a detail of one his more well known images of Phoenix. Measures 13″ x 14″ as the smaller of several sizes on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are happy to select and add all colors in silk/merino wool blend or silk threads to help complete. Please indicate your mesh preference in the note section at checkout just before submit order.
