Osage Warrior is a profile portrait of a male Native American in ceremonial dress, facing the viewer’s left. He wears a brilliant red feather spray on the crown and back of his head, a black scarf tied around his throat, and a black cloth bound around his chest. Green, blue, red, yellow, and white beaded ornaments decorate his left ear and are banded around his head. A silver arm band engraved with the Great Seal of the United States appears on his left arm just above the elbow. This was originally made in 1806 in the Mid Atlantic area of the United States. It will be lovely in silk threads, which we are happy to add to your canvas order.
