From the late 19th to the early 20th century, Japan was a vital world center for postcard art. Our canvas is adapted from a 1904 postcard. Makes a stunning small purse for evening, to hold your jewelry or coins. We are partial to silk threads for this piece, but are happy to select appropriate wool, cotton or silk threads to complete. The canvas is 9″ x 10″ to be made into a finished bag size of 9″ x 5″. All you need is a zipper, a little hand or machine stitching and the instructions we provide for a unique purse! The photograph below shows the full canvas so you can see both sides. Please contact us if you would like us to add the fibers of your choice.
