Description
Ohara Shôson (Ohara Matao) was one of the principal shin hanga designers in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s of flower and bird prints (kachô-e), a traditional subject for Japanese painters and printmakers. This is the medium size of this lovely heron measuring an 8″ x 18″ image area on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are happy to select and add all the merino wool and silk threads needed to complete. Please indicate your mesh preference in the notes section at checkout just before submit order. Very pretty to frame on its own or use as a center of a pillow, or mix with other Japanese prints of the artist or period. Available in alternate sizes.
