Of the various works of art by elephants adapted to needlepoint canvas we love the abstracts! The elephant who painted this original is named Phetmanee and is one of various elephants who are cared for by The Asian Elephant Art and Conservation Project (AEACP), a charity dedicated to saving the diminishing number of Asian Elephants left on our planet. The Elephants in their care have been given paint and time to paint for their own benefit. The Art Project gives the elephants and their caretakers the artistic tool to change their lives for the better as their natural habitat disappears.
We named this Happy because that is what it makes us feel when we see it! Measures 24″ x 34″ on 14 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. A delightful piece for a wall hanging to wake up a tired wall, or drape it along the back of a couch, or if you are daring use as a small rug! When you purchase the threads with this canvas we offer 15% off the threads. We are happy to pull appropriate silk, wool or pearle cotton threads needed. A significant percentage of each purchase of our Elephant Art canvas series benefit the AEACP. Truly a work of art! Not only are you stitching a remarkable piece but you are also helping both domesticated and what remains of the wild elephant populations of the world. Also available in a smaller size.
