The literary history of Gilgamesh begins with five Sumerian poems about Gilgamesh, king of Uruk, some of which may date back to the Third Dynasty of Ur. These independent stories were later used as source material for a combined epic in Akkadian. This fabulous illustration of Gilgamesh will make a grand presence as framed art or as a pillow. Measures 14″ x 14″ stitching area – the smaller of several sizes – on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. Kit includes the canvas and all the threads needed to complete.
