This exquisite Flemish Renaissance Portrait measures 8″ x 15″ as the smaller of several sizes. In the early 16th century Antwerp was a important artistic center in the region. Dutch and Flemish painters who often painted in a model of Italian portraits such as this, were also instrumental in crating new subject such as genre and landscape painting.
