Description
A classic image from the early 1800’s characterizing a young boy and a rooster; boy dressed in typical New England garments from this time. One of four in a series from the American Decorative Arts holdings of the Winterthur Museum. Mr. Du Pont amassed the largest collection in the world, on paper such as this, china patterns, pottery and other useful items such as furniture and decorative boxes, as well as a huge collection of fabrics and needlework. We love this Boy and Rooster, which measures 9.5″ x 14″ on 14 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are happy to select and add appropriate silk or wool threads to help complete. Please contact us if you would like for us to add your choice of fibers.
