English Pre-Raphaelite painter and draftsman, John William Waterhouse was one of the most prolific painters of all time. His work spanned over five decades and includes some of the most stunning subjects using a wide range of technique. Destiny was painted near to the same time as his Half Sick of Shadows and involves the same light, intensity of color and subject that draws you in.
