Corkscrew Vine is one of nearly a thousand paper collages created by Mary Delany. Mary Delany lived in the 1700’s and began creating her own paper, ink and paint to create some of the more beautiful paper collages we have ever seen. These look like paintings! Corkscrew Vine can be done with great effect with a T-Stich or similar soft stitch for the background in either black as shown or a dark green, Keeping the background quiet brings out the beauty of her details of the flowers. Measures 14″ x 14″ on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. Great choice for a pillow, to frame as part of a collection, or when you decide to redo a chair seat.
