Description
Created in the earliest in 1660 and the latest in 1734, this tree with birds and lady in foreground was done in Roumanian couching and outline with silk yarns; inscribed in ink on back in fairly modern hand: “The Work of Priscilla Symonds,/ daughter of Hon. Samuel Symonds, / First Deputy Govenor of the Colony of Massachusetts. She was born in 1648 – died in 1734.” Measures 14″ x 16″ on 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas for the sale price only.
