Barry Herem has drawn inspiration from the traditional arts of the Northwest Coast for more than 20 years. The traditional button blanket of the Northwest Coast was a 19th century native combination of family crest images with blue and red wool and mother of pearl buttons. This bear is a traditional style of design surrounded by “sewn-on” button representing the bear’s footprints. Kit includes an 8″ x 11″ 14 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas and all the wool threads needed to complete.
