Description

Created in the earliest in 1660 and the latest in 1734, this tree with birds and lady in foreground was done in Roumanian couching and outline with silk yarns; inscribed in ink on back in fairly modern hand: “The Work of Priscilla Symonds,/ daughter of Hon. Samuel Symonds, / First Deputy Govenor of the Colony of Massachusetts. She was born in 1648 – died in 1734.”  Measures 14″ x 16″ on 14, 16 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.  We are happy to select and add all appropriate wool or silk threads needed to complete.  Please indicate your mesh preference in the notes section at checkout. Please contact us if you would like for us to add your choice of fibers to this canvas.  Available in two larger sizes.
