A masterful painting by one of the greatest masters.  El Greco is regarded as the first great personality and painter in the history of Spanish painting.  Franz Marc is quoted as saying “Cezanne and El Greco are spiritual brothers, despite the centuries that separate them.”  The Evangelist is one of his better known works.  Adapted to a 17" x 22.5" (14" x 18.5" stitching area) 14 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas.  We are happy to select appropriate wool, perle cotton or silk threads to help complete.  Available in a slightly smaller and slightly larger size.  Please contact us if you would like us to add the fibers of your choice.
