Maria Sibylla Merian was a fine painter and superb naturalist, one of the first woman scientists we know of. Her observations of insects and their relationships with plants revolutionized botany and zoology. This beautiful canvas measures 12" x 16" on 14 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We prefer silk threads to complete, but are happy to select either wool tapestry threads or silk to help you create a rich canvas. Available in alternate sizes. Whether displayed in isolation or in a grouping of Merian's work, this canvas will surely command attention.
