Hiroshige was born in the late 1700's in Edo (today's Tokyo). He was a contemporary of another great Japanese master - Hokusai. Hiroshige created more than 8,000 works during his lifetime; exploring many facets of his contemporary daily life in his native country. Tea House is a lovely gentle scene good for the beginner looking for a challenge without being overly complicated as well as the more experienced hand. Measures 8" x 12" on14 or 18 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are partial to silk or merino wool for this piece, but will gladly select and add appropriate wool, silk or pearle cotton threads to help complete.
