Henri Rousseau was a Post Impressionist painter from France whose work is largely considered Primitive, but has since his death been regarded as a self taught genius. Landscape with Cattle is a charming canvas. A particularly good choice for the beginner looking for a more sophisticated work without being overly challenging.
