A friend of Franz Marc, German artist August Macke's style was influenced by Impressionism but of an entirely different aesthetic His style, often referred to as Expressionism, represents feelings and moods rather than reproducing objective reality, usually distorting colour and form..  Lady in a Green Jacket  is a perennial customer favorite of his, enlivening any part of a collection!  Try different stitches to create a very dimensional piece. Measures 16" x 16.5" on 14 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are partial to silk threads for this piece, but will be happy to pull appropriate silk or wool threads to help complete.
