A friend of Matisse, Leger, Modigliani and others, Gris is best considered a Cubist painter, whose insight and technique expanded the worlds of art and theater (created ballet costumes for Sergei Diaghilev and the famous Ballet Russes). One of his more colorful paintings, Landscape with Houses in Ceret, is adapted to 14 or 16 mesh mono deluxe needlepoint canvas. We are partial to wool threads, but are equally happy to select appropriate wool, pearle cotton or silk threads to help complete the 25.5" x 39" canvas. Available in alternate sizes.
