Answer to clue 2:
Why Do Baboons Make Faces?
Baboons make a lot of faces. Sometimes they look as if they are smiling. Sometimes they raise their eyebrows. Or they can even make a face like the one you see here. Whatever face a baboon makes, the face sends information to other baboons.
Baboons are social animals. They live in troops, or large groups. Good communication between troop members is important. It can help prevent fights. And it can keep everybody safe.
When a baboon makes a face, it is trying to communicate a specific message. If a baboon shows off its sharp teeth, it’s telling other baboons, “Be careful or else!” If a baboon grins, it’s telling another baboon, “I’m sorry.”
 Impression: Communication

Art and Needlepoint Techniques

Friday, June 08, 2012
In the upcoming months we will be releasing the first of many Art and Technique books.

Because we understand that no formula can replace experience, each of the books shall explore ways to

realistically create various elements that you will find on almost any needlepoint canvas.

The series will cover a wide expanse of topics

- many different art styles - many many stitching techniques

and helpful hints to guide you on your creative journey which is needlepoint!

How do you define creativity?

Tuesday, June 05, 2012

Professor Philippe Rochat, an expert on the developmental psychology of infants, claims that creativity emerges when people stop worrying about what other people think.

Luc Steels, a computer scientist and expert on complex systems, claims creativity emerges from the interaction with others.

Steve Jobs reportedly stated that creativity is nothing more than putting different ideas together in a completely new way. Author Jonah Lehrer provides a lot of evidence for this claim in his recent book Imagine.

Often viewed as a crucial component of genius, the definition of creativity has otherwise proven to be contentious.

At Art Needlepoint we are more focused on how you recognize your own creativity and take time to enhance its expression, than on a definition.

Worry less and create more - as recent scientific studies are showing correlations between one's overall health to the expressive quotient in a person's daily life ...
