Talent

Saturday, June 26, 2010
We all have talent.  Some of us cook well, care for others very well, sew or knit or needlepoint well. Perhaps you paint or draw or play an instrument divinely.

Michael Jackson's music and dance style may or may not appeal to you, but you cannot watch a video of him (or if you were lucky enough to see him in person) and walk away without knowing his talent.  Your body captured both his voice and his rhythm.

He left too soon.

Hôtel Recamier, Paris

We found this lovely post on Cool Hunting.com.  " The newly renovated Hôtel Recamier, located at the core of Paris' Left Bank on Place St. Sulpice, offers guests a low-key retreat from the bustle of the City of Light. Designed by Jean-Louis Denoit, the tastefully appointed hotel is classically French with modern undertones."

"Among other things, we were enamored with the seamless needlepoint lining the elevator walls (pictured above and below)."

Worth a trip if only to see the needlepoint walls in the elevators.  Well appointed indeed!
